I wasn’t sure how to start this blog post. For lot’s of reasons – I go WAY back with Emily and have felt like a part of her family since I was 5, add a layer of a bunch of people I went to High School with attended or were involved, then the fact that these two venues were amazing, and top it off with the fact that I really feel like this was the perfect way to start off wedding season and you end up with this. A rambling, babbling way to start of of blog post.
I had SO much fun at Emily & Andrew’s big day. It was so good to see some many people that I hadn’t seen for years. I will admit that I am still wrapping my head around that fact that Emily is married! I have know her so long and she really has grown into such a beautiful woman – but I can’t help but think of Emily when she was a toddler. Ahhh! FEELS!
Speaking of feels: I cried a lot at this wedding. So many times. When I saw her in her dress, during the ceremony, taking photos of just the couple, Emily’s mom almost did me in with her beautiful speech, the best man, Mike, had me laughing hysterically (seriously BEST speech from a best man. Maybe ever.) and finally the first dance which had a bunch of losing it. This was all because E&A are SO in love and it is such a beautiful thing to witness.
E&A: Georgia is lucky to have you two. I am so happy for you and so glad that you are finally (as Theresa so eloquently put it) living your someday. Now before I have more feelings – PHOTOS!
